Safeguarding Information

Everyone at Milton-on-Stour Primary School who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. School staff are particularly important in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children as we are in a position to identify concerns early and provide help for children. Our school staff form part of the wider safeguarding system for children to prevent concerns from escalating. Our school will work with Children’s Social Care, the Police, Health services and other relevant agencies to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.

It is the duty of all visitors and staff to report any concerning behaviour to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (Mrs Rhiannon Tidby) or Deputy DSLs (Miss Amanda Solman or Miss Libby Higgins), and children and parents are encouraged to talk to a staff member at any time if they have a concern.

Alternatively, if you have concerns about any child’s safety, you can contact the Children’s Advice and Duty Service (ChAD) on 01305 228866.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Rhiannon Tidby.

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Amanda Solman and Libby Higgins

Road Safety Education - June 2020

Dorset Police created a couple of Road Safety Education information quizzes as a PowerPoint presentation. As many people have been in lockdown and now possibly getting back out on the road. These quizzes act a as reminder and refresh of knowledge or even good as a learning tool for your students either as they are at home or within school.

The link below will take you to the Fun with the Force page where you should see both the ‘Pedestrian quiz’ and the ‘Bicycle safety quiz’.
