Safeguarding Information
Everyone at Milton-on-Stour Primary School who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. School staff are particularly important in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children as we are in a position to identify concerns early and provide help for children. Our school staff form part of the wider safeguarding system for children to prevent concerns from escalating. Our school will work with Children’s Social Care, the Police, Health services and other relevant agencies to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.
It is the duty of all visitors and staff to report any concerning behaviour to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads (Mrs Rhiannon Tidby and Miss Libby Higgins) or Deputy DSLs (Mr Greg Banton and Mr James Stanford), and children and parents are encouraged to talk to a staff member at any time if they have a concern.
Alternatively, if you have concerns about any child’s safety, you can contact the Children’s Advice and Duty Service (ChAD) on 01305 228866.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are Rhiannon Tidby and Libby Higgins.
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Greg Banton and James Stanford
Our School is an Operation Encompass School

Road Safety Education
Dorset Police has created a couple of Road Safety Education information quizzes as a PowerPoint presentation. These quizzes act as a reminder and refresh of knowledge and are good as a learning tool for the children to do at home with an adult.
The link below will take you to the Fun with the Force page where you should see both the ‘Pedestrian quiz’ and the ‘Bicycle safety quiz’.
