Welcome back Hops Class!

We are excited to get the Summer Term started and learn lots about our topic based on 'Glorious Greeks!'
Our P.E days this term are a Monday and Friday.

A great Greek afternoon for Family Learning!
A fun second day learning about Ancient Greece! We baked bread, made hummus, acted out myths and painted plates. With an evening having an BBQ and sat around the campfire.
A great first day at Hooke Court! We had a go at raft building and went on a night walk.
We used the printing method to create some artwork inspired by Greek vases!
Some well deserved ice-cream for our year 6's to mark the end of SATS!
We did some pottery this week and made some great Greek vases!

This week we made Shepherd's Pie!
We have been sewing sea creatures! We have used a range of stitches to create detail; which will then be sewn onto a t-shirt.
In science, we have been looking at how light causes refraction. Look at how our straw is 'broken' and the arrow has changed direction!
A fun family learning making bird boxes; thank you to all who came!

28.11.22 This week we had a visitor from John and his guide dog, Jimmy! We thoroughly enjoyed their visit, and we are excited to raise money for the Guide Dogs UK Charity as this is our community project this term.
21.11.22 Hops had a lovely time telling stories and baking potatoes around the fire pit!
14.11.22 Hops Class had a fun time at the Ancient Technology Centre this week!
31.10.22 Over the last few weeks. Hops Class have designed, planned and created their own Viking Longships!

12.9.22 This week we recreated the circulatory system! We know and can talk about oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
5.9.22 We created freeze frames and drama pieces based on the Islamic Creation Story.
