We are all very proud of our clay mythical monsters and we have now evaluated them in our Art books.

Our Autumn term family learning was brilliant. Thank you for all of your support in painting the children's mythical creatures. They all look fabulous. Many thanks. Miss Wood
In Science, we have been looking at what things in our environment are dead, alive and that have never been alive. We spent sometime outside, classifying objects in the playground and in the woodland area.

🍂 Welcome to the Autumn Term! 🍂
We’re thrilled to begin a new and exciting term filled with curiosity, creativity, and plenty of learning adventures. Our theme this term is Mythical Monsters, and we’ll be diving into the magical world of dragons, legends, and mysterious creatures. To spark imaginations, our first class book will be The Boy Who Grew Dragons by Andy Shepherd. If you’d like to read along at home, it’s a fantastic story full of heart and humour—perfect for family reading time.
📚 Curriculum Highlights:
English: Inspired by our mythical theme, we’ll be exploring storytelling, character creation, and descriptive writing.
Maths: We’ll be focusing on number and place value, with a special emphasis on odd and even numbers and how to partition two-digit numbers.
Science: Our topic is Animals Including Humans, where we’ll learn about how living things survive and stay healthy—expect some fascinating discussions and hands-on activities!
Geography: We’ll be travelling the globe (virtually!) as we explore the continents and oceans of the world.
Spellings: They will be sent out on Friday and tested on a Friday, please have a go at these at home.
PE: Just a reminder that PE will take place on Thursdays and Fridays, so please ensure children come dressed appropriately on those days.
🎭 Exciting Events Ahead:
We’re planning a theatre trip this term to bring stories to life—details will follow soon.
We’ll also be hosting a Family Learning Day, where you’ll be invited to join us in the classroom for some shared activities and fun.
We can’t wait to see the children’s creativity flourish as they explore mythical monsters and embark on new learning journeys. Thank you for your continued support—we’re looking forward to a fantastic term together!
